Filled with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, you can make a big batch of these energy bites and store them in the fridge for a week of healthy snacks. They’re so tasty – it’s hard to stop at just one! These energy bites are gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, and soy-free, so they’re suitable for people with a wide range of dietary restrictions.
How to make no bake dark chocolate cherry energy bites
This energy bite recipe is very easy to make, especially because it requires no baking or special equipment.
Just combine all your ingredients together in a mixing bowl: old fashioned rolled oats, creamy natural peanut butter, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, pepitas, dried cherries, cinnamon, salt, maple syrup, and dark chocolate chips.
Mix everything up until well combined. Pop the bowl in the fridge for about 30 minutes to allow the ingredients to harden together. Then, roll out 1 inch balls with the batter. This recipe will make 16-20 energy bites.

Ingredients
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup ground flax
- 2/3 cup natural creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup dried cherries
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup pepitas
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix well so all the dry ingredients are coated in the peanut butter and maple syrup, and everything is evenly distributed.
- Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more to harden up.
- Use your hands to form balls about 1 inch in size. Makes 16-20 energy balls.
