Creamy High Protein Blended Overnight Oats
These easy overnight blended oats are thick, creamy, and pudding-like. They’ve got 21 grams of protein (without protein powder) from whole food sources like Greek yogurt and milk. This is the perfect base recipe to which you can add your favorite overnight oats toppings – I like strawberries, bananas, and chocolate chips!

As a Registered Dietitian, my go-to healthy breakfast to make ahead for busy mornings is always overnight oats with Greek yogurt. Adding Greek yogurt to overnight oats gives the recipe a creamy texture and big protein boost without the need for protein powder!
If you’re also an overnight oats loyalist, you should definitely try mixing it up with these creamy blended overnight oats. The texture is kind of like a thick pudding, so it feels more like a treat than your regular oatmeal. They’re a great alternative for you if you don’t like the texture of regular overnight oats!
Blended overnight oats are just as easy to make as regular overnight oats. This recipe uses all the same ingredients, including rolled oats, chia seeds, milk, and Greek yogurt.
You don’t even need a high-powered blender to make blended oats. I’ve tested this recipe twice using my NutriBullet blender and it works perfectly.

Description
Super thick and creamy, these EASY overnight blended oats pack 21 grams of protein from whole food sources including plain Greek yogurt and milk. This is the perfect base recipe to which you can add your favorite overnight oats toppings – I like strawberries, bananas, and chocolate chips!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (I used 2% reduced fat)
- 8 oz milk (I used 2% reduced fat)
Instructions
- Add the ingredients to a NutriBullet blender cup in the order listed. If you are using a regular stand-up blender, add them in the reverse order. You want the softest, liquid ingredients to make contact with the blender blades first.
- Blend for 30 seconds – 1 minute, until smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender once for even blending.
- Pour into two jars.
- Add your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit.
- Close the jars and pop them in the fridge overnight.
- Enjoy cold in the morning!
Notes
Store in the fridge and enjoy cold. Keeps well for up to 4 days.
