Air Fryer Carrot Fries

Make this delicious air fried carrot fries recipe for a nutritious weeknight side dish! Made with a handful of ingredients and ready in about 20 minutes.


  • 6 large, thick carrots
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp adobo seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


  1. Peel the carrots and chop off the ends. If carrots are particularly long, cut them in half widthwise so they are more sized like French fries.
  2. Slice carrots lengthwise into 1/4th inch thick “fries”.
  3. Put the carrots in a mixing bowl and add olive oil, adobo seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the carrots in the seasoning.
  4. Arrange carrots on air fryer tray/basket, spacing them out evenly so they do not overlap (you may need to cook in a few batches).
  5. Air fry at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, checking at 8 minutes for doneness. Carrot fries will be done when edges are starting to brown.


Oven Instructions

If you do not have an air fryer, you can try to make these carrot fries in the oven. However, they might turn out like roasted carrot sticks, rather than “fries”, since they won’t get quite as crispy.

If making this recipe in the oven, it is ideal if you have a convection oven setting, so the hot air will circulate around the carrots as they cook (as it would in an air fryer). Set the temperature to 375 degrees F and start by cooking for 15 minutes. Add more time as needed until the carrots are fully cooked.
