Kitchen tools needed

Nothing special needed to make this recipe – just a small mixing bowl, measuring cup/spoons, and a spoon for mixing!

What is in ranch seasoning?

Ranch seasoning is a seasoning blend used to make ranch dressing or ranch dip. It is usually made with a blend of different dried spices and herbs, including dried parsley, dill, garlic, onion, and chives.

Ranch seasoning mix also contains dried buttermilk, which adds a tangy flavor to whatever you mix it with. Instead of dried buttermilk, lemon juice and the Greek yogurt add a tangy punch to this recipe!

It won’t get much easier than this recipe! Simply add mix together Greek yogurt, dried herbs, and lemon juice in a small mixing bowl until it’s all combined.

What to serve with ranch dip

This is a wonderful healthy dip for veggies, potato chips, pita triangles, or crackers. It would be delicious as a dip for air fryer carrot fries or air fryer potatoes, or buffalo tofu!

You can also use this dip as a zesty sandwich spread, or can thin it out with a little cold water to make it into a ranch dressing for salads!

Storing ranch dip

Store leftover Greek yogurt ranch dip in a small airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Give it a stir before serving again.

Greek yogurt nutrition and health benefits

Using Greek yogurt as the base of this creamy dip packs in lots of nutrition! I love to cook with Greek yogurt because it imparts such good flavor and texture to recipes, without sacrificing nutrient density.

Compared to regular yogurt, Greek yogurt has more protein and less carbohydrates. A 7 ounce serving of plain low-fat Greek yogurt provides:

  • 20 grams of protein
  • 7.9 grams of carbohydrates
  • 230 mg calcium

Since Greek yogurt is a fermented food, it contains probiotics. These are healthy bacteria that live in our digestive tract and enhance gut health, immunity, and may reduce the risk of some diseases.
