How to Toast Almonds

Toasting or roasting raw almonds gives them a satisfying crunch and enhances their flavor. It only takes about 15 minutes or less to make toasted almonds! In this post, learn how to toast almonds three ways: in the oven, on the stovetop, or in your air fryer. Instructions for whole nuts, almond slivers, and almond slices included!

oven method

Spread almonds in a single layer on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Toast at 325°F for 8-13 minutes.

Stovetop method

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add almonds and toast 7-10 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent burning.

air fryer method

Add almonds to air fryer tray or basket, not overlapping. Air fry at 250°F for 12-17 minutes.

Toasted almonds are done when they are fragrant, crunchy, and one shade deeper brown than they started.

Cooking time for slices

Toast sliced almonds in the oven for 5-10 minutes, stovetop for 3-6 minutes, and air fryer for 5-10 minutes.
