We love a flavorful Greek yogurt dip for veggies and chips in our house! As a Registered Dietitian, my number one tip for making veggies more appealing is to serve them with healthy homemade sauces, dressings, or dips.

This Greek yogurt dill dip is a recent favorite of mine because it is so tasty, versatile, and easy to make. No cooking required, you just need to chop up some fresh dill, green onion, and shallot, and stir them together with plain Greek yogurt, feta cheese, lemon juice, and seasonings.

Most creamy dips are made using sour cream or mayonnaise. Greek yogurt is a nutritious swap for creamy dips because it is lower in saturated fat and high in protein! Pair this vegetarian dip with crunchy vegetables, chips, or pretzels for a healthy high-protein snack or appetizer that is ready in 5 minutes!

Greek yogurt nutrition & health benefits

As the base of this dip, Greek yogurt is a highly nutritious food! Greek yogurt has more protein and less carbohydrates compared to regular yogurt. One cup of full-fat Greek yogurt provides:

  • 22 grams of protein
  • 9.8 grams of carbohydrates
  • 245 mg calcium

Since Greek yogurt is a fermented food, it contains probiotics. These are healthy bacteria that live in our digestive tract and enhance gut health, immunity, and may reduce the risk of some diseases.
