As a Registered Dietitian and self-proclaimed chocoholic, I love making healthy dessert recipes that satisfy my sweet tooth!

Protein-packed Greek yogurt is one of my favorite foods because it has a thick, creamy texture and satisfying tangy flavor.

Because of these factors, Greek yogurt makes an excellent base for healthy dessert – see my homemade frozen Greek yogurt, frozen Greek yogurt ice cream bars, or strawberry Greek yogurt popsicles for proof!

These chocolate peanut butter Greek yogurt cups can be made in a flash (we’re talking 5 minutes or less), and they are almost TOO easy.

This healthy Greek yogurt dessert is vegetarian, high protein, gluten free, and soy free. Between the Greek yogurt and peanut butter, each dessert cup has 16 grams of protein.

It makes 4 servings, and can easily be halved or doubled depending on how many cups you want to prep.

Ingredients

You’ll need just five ingredients for this recipe, most of which you probably have in your pantry.

  • Plain Greek yogurt: While you can use any fat content, I like to use full-fat Greek yogurt for Greek yogurt dessert recipes. It is creamier, richer, and less tangy than nonfat Greek yogurt. It would be absolutely delicious if you made it with my homemade Greek yogurt 🙂
  • Peanut butter: Use natural peanut butter (the only ingredients should be peanuts and salt). The runnier texture of natural peanut butter is easy to whip into the Greek yogurt. Choose creamy OR crunchy based on your preference for texture.
  • Honey: A little honey adds a touch of sweetness and pairs well in terms of flavor with both Greek yogurt and peanut butter. Feel free to use another liquid sweetener like maple syrup instead.
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips: You’ll melt some chocolate chips to drizzle over the top of the dessert cups.
  • Coconut oil: Melting chocolate chips with a bit of coconut oil makes the melted chocolate smooth and shiny. It also helps the chocolate harden, which is so satisfying to break into!
