Is frozen yogurt healthy?
Frozen yogurt is made with milk instead of cream, so it’s lower in calories than ice cream. Some frozen yogurts also contain probiotics, which are beneficial for gut health and digestion.
However, store bought frozen yogurt is usually high in added sugars, preservatives, and additives for flavor, color, and texture.
Make this easy 3 ingredient homemade frozen yogurt next time you have a craving!
Ingredients in frozen Greek yogurt
You need just 3 ingredients to make Greek frozen yogurt at home:
- Plain Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is higher in protein and lower in carbohydrates than regular yogurt. It has a thick, creamy texture that is perfect for frozen yogurt. I recommend using full fat, whole milk Greek yogurt for frozen yogurt with a rich mouthfeel.
- Honey: Honey and Greek yogurt taste amazing together. It sweetens the Greek yogurt in this recipe just enough that it’s not cloyingly sweet.
- Vanilla extract: Opt for pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.

Yes! You can make this frozen yogurt a day or two in advance.
However, it will become VERY hard and a little icy if you don’t enjoy it shortly after preparing it.

Thanks! I was looking for this exact recipe and everyone else had too many extras I either didn’t have or couldn’t afford (like food processor or ice cream maker) and I wanted to make it the next day. Very helpful and was EXACTLY what I had in mind but didn’t want to try it and waste the ingredients if no one else had already tried it and I didn’t know if it’d be good. I’m very excited thank you! Also beautiful and very cute site!
